Decades ago I learned in typing class to double space after a period and after a colon, and after the two-letter state before the zip code: Poulsbo WA 98370. No comma after the city, also–supposedly USPS standards.
Other than those observations, I was simply getting a couple more samples of Bad Personal Philosophy, having just discovered it because of a Share on the hated Facebook. Can’t spend anymore time on it because I haven’t finished work, I wanna go to bed, and I probably have enough of my own bad personal philosophy. It’s cool to share it with other goofs, though, isn’t it?

So, the all-knowing, all-wise government has a tax code that allows this? Well, the people I voted for didn’t win last month, and rarely has anyone for whom I vote won, so the tax code has been effectively out of my hands. Here in our own State, everybody talks about the evil B & O tax–including legislators–and “they” do nothing about it; the money coming in is just too addicting. Apple has also done a great service to society by employing those tax lawyers and accountants to save that money for the poor stockholders! Get down!

“Intriguingly imperfect world”; “alternate reality”; ” it’s not exactly what our nation’s founders were referring to by ‘arms’”; some interesting phrases and observations from your well-written piece, Kevin. I’m pleased to see your tag of “bad personal philosophy” but disappointed to see it’s not under a tag of “too funny”. It looks like a scarey world, with people in it, and guns, manual nevertheless, hanging about without lots of fundamental morality and value-of-human-life ethics. It was pretty exciting following the hyperlink to Mel Gibson, although that was a movie world that “made sense” of some horrific concepts….a movie after all. In our alternate reality to that one, it can cost one much more than $20k to drop somebody; life changes drastically even if a justifiable homicide is committed “rightfully”; the defense lawyer and the (likely) civil suit cost a bundle! Keep writing!
